There are few things more satisfying than finding a dope new track that hits the ear just right, and a young Australian talent named Jeida Woods has arrived with just the thing. “Chemicals,” released via Future Classic, is the first single off Woods’ debut EP coming out in June, and it flips the script on R&B.
This fiery track is seriously a vibe and a half. It has the sedated energy of a passionate R&B ballad, but the heavy clear-cut bass line, kinetic trap percussion, and swift, haunting vocals all take this rich melody in a dark and stimulating direction. What’s more, the impassioned vibe of this track is accented so well by Woods’ slick moves in the music video.
Jeida is definitely a multi-talented artist. He’s a modern day triple threat: he can sing, he can dance, AND he can produce. That’s right, this sultry song is self-produced by the rising star himself, with co-production by Lucianblomkamp – known for his production for other Industry stars like 6lack, Khalid, and Mallrat.
