John Summit got the nod from BBC Radio 1 to deliver his first-ever Essential Mix over the weekend. On Monday, Summit uploaded the full two-hour mix for all of us to listen to on-demand. In his own words, the mix is a “musical journey of tracks that have inspired me and some unreleased bits.”
While John Summit is well known for his lively, debaucherous sets, this set goes behind the scenes of his persona and reminds us of his true-to-his-craft core. It’s full of groovy house music from all over the map, from modern classics by Jamie Jones to unreleased IDs.
In a post on Twitter, Summit said that doing an Essential Mix was a “bucket list goal.”
