If Jordan Dennis isn’t on your rap radar yet, now is the time to change that. The Melbourne based rapper just dropped his HDMI2 EP, a nine-track project that showcases Jordan’s versatile flow and impressive lyricism. Just a few years removed from his debut, Jordan Dennis is quickly catching attention across the globe and drawing some big name comparisons like Mick Jenkins, JID, and Anderson .Paak.
Although the entire EP is impressive, “Elon Must” and “Hokus Pokus” are two standout tracks, with their catchy beats and dynamic compositions, as well as some really clever wordplay. Slower, groovier tracks like “Everybody Loves Ray” and “Mirrors” show off Dennis’ smooth flow and soulful influences that are leading some to draw comparisons to Anderson .Paak. “Eatin'” especially shows Jordan’s buttery delivery and unique ability to infuse soulful R&B influences into his work.
Dennis’ versatility and ability to rap and sing atop diverse beats and compositions is what really stood out to us from this EP. We’re eager to see what the future has in store for this exciting young talent. Check out this captivating, multidimensional project in the stream below. Enjoy!
