Justin Martin is celebrating the 10th birthday of his 2012 debut album, Ghettos & Gardens, by releasing a couple of collections of remixes. The first volume of remixes was released a month ago, featuring artists like Model Man, Mary Droppinz, and more. Over this past weekend, J-Mart shared eight more remixes, bringing the total number of reworked tracks to 16.
Volume two of these Ghetto & Gardens remixes includes Walker & Royce, DJ Minx, Smalltown DJs, and even more house producers. While all of the artists enlisted by Justin Martin so far are under the wide umbrella of house music, they still differ greatly from each other within. Walker & Royce’s buzzing, high-energy take of “Ruff Stuff” sounds nothing like the minimal take of “Hood Rich” by DJ Minx.
We’re also really digging Lenny Kiser’s wobbly version of “Don’t Go” and Smalltown DJs’ heavy remix of “Lezgo.”
