One of the brightest young talents in the electronic scene right now, Kasbo, has officially announced that he has a new album on the way. It’s titled The Making Of A Paracosm, and it’s the follow up to 2018’s Places We Don’t Know. Once again, he’ll be releasing on one of our favorite labels, ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective, in partnership with Counter Records (Ninjatune).
This news comes along with the lead single from the project, a beautifully written melodic and emotive jam, “Play Pretend,” which features Ourchives on vocals. Kasbo has triumphantly stepped into new territory with this one, further developing his own sound while drawing influences from the UK house scene. Ourchives, another up-and-coming Swede brimming with talent, was the perfect fit for this one. Expect to see more of him in the not-so-distant future.
“Play Pretend” has us starry-eyed, and eagerly awaiting more music from the multi-faceted Kasbo, who has impressed us around every turn. The Making Of A Paracosm is due out on October 23.
Stream “Play Pretend” below, and stay tuned for what should be an amazing sophomore album. Enjoy!
