Fakear Delivers Groovy, Bouncing New Remix Of Kasbo’s “I Get You”

Back in October, Kasbo dropped an absolute gem when he teamed up with Lizzy Land on “I Get You“. As we’ve had the track on repeat for months now, we’re extremely excited to be sharing a fresh new remix from none other than Fakear.

Considering these two both reside artistically in similar sonic spheres, although we weren’t sure what direction this latest offering would travel in – we’re absolutely blown away by the end result. Having kept Kasbo’s original melody intact, Fakear has essentially stripped “I Get You” down to it’s bones, injecting a unique mix of bright, skittering synths, wonky pitched vocals and bouncing bass to create an undeniably groovy new masterpiece.

“I love Kasbo’s work, and for this one I wanted to go the opposite direction. I chose this big housy bassline because I wanted to question the sunny, peaceful side of the original song. I wanted to wake up the dark side of it, the weirdness. The voice is struggling to get to the front, and finally the song got back its brightness at the end, tearing down the darkness. Yes, this song is a big superhero movie to me!” – Fakear
