Pierre-Marie Maulini, otherwise known as Kasztan, has had one impressive music career. From touring as a member of alt band M83, to writing music for film and remixing for high-profile artists, Kasztan has established himself as a veteran in the music industry. Following the success of his last two EPs Celeste and Rare Earth Elements, Kasztan has just released the final installment in the trifecta titled Unbleach.
The three-track EP opens with “4Thee“, Kasztan’s favorite track on the project. The song is reflective of his unique sound, with a blend of tribal drums, experimental synths, and emotive organ tones. The second track serves as an ode to Kasztan’s past time in rock music with its extra-long title: “TSIAWS“, short for “Then Suddenly It All Went Still.” The song “Alive” serves as a stunning finale for the EP, boasting deep bass and house beats combined with haunting vocals.
In his last Instagram post, Kasztan introduces the EP as “an ode to nature and an invitation to move, dance, act.” Check out the EP below and let us know which track made you want to dance. Enjoy!
