This has got to be one of our favorite collaborative projects as of recent. Khruangbin and Leon Bridges just sound too good together. A little over a month ago, they came together for a killer single, “Texas Sun,” that really displayed the synergy of their sounds. After they had announced that they would be doing a full EP together, we couldn’t wait to hear more. Today we get to hear the next chapter of the Texas Sun EP, a new track titled “C-Side.”
Once again, Khruangbin and Leon Bridges sound like they were born to create music together. “C-Side” is much more of a groovy tune than the last one, focusing on an irresistible swing and sensual rhythms. They’re 2-for-2 with these singles so far, and we can only pray that they decide to perform together in the future.
The full Texas Sun EP is coming very soon. It’s due out February 7.
