When we first heard the funky, psychedelic trio Khruangbin paired up with the brilliant R&B/soul star Leon Bridges, it felt like it was too good to be true. We were thankful to just get one song out of them, but it turned out they had a whole EPs worth of music for us. Today that EP, titled Texas Sun, is released, and we’re in love with the sound.
This collaborative project is the perfect example of distinct artists, who together, are greater than the sum of their wholes. Both Khruanbgin and Leon Bridges hail from Texas, and their chemistry together is as natural as it gets.
