Kid Cudi is here with the first piece of his highly-anticipated new project, Entergalactic. Today sees the release of “Do What I Want,” marking the official rollout of what he claims to be his “greatest achievement.”
This new single starts out with a hilarious sample from Stephen A. Smith, who is known for telling athletes to “stay off the weed.” The production kicks in immediately after, setting the tone for what has turned out to be a hard-hitting banger for Kid Cudi’s lead Entergalactic single. While Cudi can both rap and sing fluently, he mainly spits bars on this tune.
“Do What I Want” is produced by duo Take A Daytrip, who Cudi used heavily on his previous album, Man on the Moon III: The Chosen. We have a feeling we’ll be hearing more from them on this new project.
Entergalactic is set to be both an album and an animated Netflix series. You can check out the first official teaser trailer for it right here.
