One of Kid Cudi‘s recent tracks has just reached an enormous milestone. “Tequila Shots,” which was the lead single off his most recent album, Man on the Moon II: End of Day, has officially sold 1 million units.
This means that the RIAA will certify the track as platinum. When that happens, it will be the first solo song off a project later than 2013 to do so. This writes another chapter in Kid Cudi’s epic comeback story. All of his other platinum and gold certifications have come from projects that he’s released from his album Indicud (“Just What I Am”) and prior—a period which many would refer to as Cudi’s peak.
