Knxwledge, an insanely talented producer from California, is beginning to become a household name among hip-hop heads. Not only has he collaborated with some of the biggest names in rap like Kendrick Lamar, Earl Sweatshirt and Anderson .Paak, but the dude puts out music like a machine. He somehow has a staggering 88 separate projects on his Bandcamp page. Today, Knxwledge drops off his Gladwemet EP, and it’s definitely something you don’t want to sleep on.
At a mere nine minutes, Gladwemet is a short but sweet EP. The clear highlight of the project is the first track, “Relapse,” which was released via Adult Swim’s killer music series “Adult Swim Singles. “Relapse” has an impossibly smooth and funky beat, which is juxtaposed by rapper Traffic’s rough and raspy voice. The rest of the EP features a few quick, quality, trippy instrumentals that max out at around a minute each.
After such a quality release, prepare to see Knxwledge’s name pop up among the production credits for some of your favorite rappers. Enjoy!
