Legendary UK bass duo and visionaries KOAN Sound are no strangers to the site, having built up quite the reputation for their forward-thinking productions. Today, they’re making their long-awaited return with their first release in two years, “Ascension.”
Part of what makes KOAN Sound so special is their ability to consistently challenge the possibilities of electronic music and stretch the limitations of their own sound. On “Ascension,” KOAN Sound utilize an array of organic instruments paired with pristine UK garage drums to create a beautiful orchestral arrangement unlike anything we’ve heard from them.
