Kumarion & REAPER Drive American Wave of D&B With New Collab “The Uprising”

||, |

With the rise of UK garage, breakbeat, and other European-inspired sounds making their way to the states, it was only a matter of time before drum and bass had its moment. American bass producers, Kumarion and REAPER, have both been bringing attention and excitement to the drum and bass genre in North America in their own right. The two are preparing to embark on their B2B festival run and are celebrating with the release of their track, “The Uprising,” out now via Jadū Dala.

This might low-key be one of the most exciting collaborations of the year as we watch these two heavyweight producers link up for just over three minutes of organized chaos. Both artists’ productions share a lot in common by leaning heavily into American hip hop and dubstep influence than typical UK drum and bass. They both weave in and out of melodic sound palettes and aggressive, dynamic sounds so effortlessly that it’s impossible to predict where they’re going next.
