Just last night, brother-sister duo, Lastings, released a powerful teaser video for their upcoming sophomore album, A Perfect World. The cinematic trailer depicts Josh and Amy in the middle of a desert landscape, commentating on the meaning of the LP in a poetic, theatrical manner. Accompanying this exciting announcement is the release of the album’s third single, “Noise.”
Amy continues expanding upon themes of heartbreak and loss on “Noise,” picking up right where she left off with the previous two singles. With each new Lastings track uniquely captivating, “Noise” encapsulates a brighter, more optimistic tone, as Josh’s production shines through bouncy synths and airy percussion.
Amy described the meaning behind “Noise,” commenting:
I turned off the music before leaving to get groceries and I realized how quiet it was. In that silence, I started to think back on having someone around and someone to dance with. ‘Noise’ is about reminiscing on an old relationship. The good memories. Talking late at night. Going to raves together. Dancing. All the arguing and making up. All the… Noise.
