Lastlings have been growing in leaps and bounds over the last few years. Having themselves remixed the likes of RÜFÜS DU SOL, SG Lewis and more, today the tables have turned yet again as the sibling duo has recruited Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs on two fresh remixes of their latest single “Take My Hand“.
Although TEED has graced a good many tracks with his powerful production prowess, these latest from the British producer / singer are sounding fantastic. Having taken it upon himself to gibe Lastlings original track not one but two fresh new renditions, although we’re at a loss to which is better, both are truly impressive and showcase just how diverse an artist he truly is.
“We’ve been massive fans of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs for years now. We briefly met him backstage at Beyond the Valley, the first festival we ever played 4 years ago! So it’s incredible to have a producer of his calibre remix our stuff.” – Josh (Laslings)
With the Sky remix, TEED has provided an antithesis to the dark, brooding sonic space created on “Take My Hand” with bouncing melodies, soaring synths and playful percussion. But it doesn’t last long, as with his Earth remix he doubles back, delivering a slew of deep, pulsing bass, eerie atmospheric soundscapes and wonky, mechanical sound design.
