You’d be hard pressed to find a name in bass music as viral as Levity. The Chicago powerhouse trio flew onto the scene with their iconic Electric Forest set last year and have been full steam ahead ever since. Today, the trio are taking another step in the right direction, releasing their debut EP, Escapism, Vol. 1, via Deadbeats.
Escapism, Vol. 1 marks the first time we’ve been able to hear a conceptual project from the boys and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The seven-track EP takes listeners on a sonic journey, starting with the opening track “Escape,” where adventurous basslines set the tone for what’s to come. The energy ramps up with “Ignition,” featuring dynamic bass stabs and fiery drops that build anticipation.
The collaboration “Chill” with ProbCause brings a smooth, refined vibe, balancing the mix with its laid-back energy. The EP pushes forward with “Jaded,” an energetic festival anthem, and concludes with “Reawakening,” a track that lives up to its name by reigniting the soul with nostalgic, electro-wave euphoria, transporting listeners to another dimension.
Their current heading tour, which is already over 80% sold out, includes four shows at The Roxy in LA, three shows at Bowery Ballroom in NYC, Ogden Theatre in Denver, Wish Lounge in ATL, and more. For more tour info, click here.
