PREMIERE | Wakaan Label Boss Liquid Stranger Drops Otherworldly New EP ‘Polarity’

One of the most consistent labels for bass music right now is undoubtedly Wakaan. When we had the opportunity to premiere a new EP from the label boss, Liquid Stranger, it was a no brainer. These guys have been cranking out quality tunes year round, and this brand new, long awaited EP, Polarity, is another indisputable victory for the innovative label.

Wakaan is best known for making bass music that transcends genres, stepping just far enough outside the box. Liquid Stranger is the artist that encapsulates that sound perhaps most accurately, and it definitely shows on his new Polarity EP, delivering some extra-terrestrial heat that will have your head spinning. He hasn’t done it all by himself, however. He’s enlisted some of the best talent from Wakaan for some insane collaborations, like Shlump, Bleep Bloop, and Freddy Todd.

The EP is six tracks deep, and with a sound design so fresh, you’ll be able to get down to each and every one of them. Each track starts off weird and wonky, and all descend into bassy chaos as they progress. We’re seriously loving all of Polarity.
