Sunsquabi have just shared their latest full length album Instinct, and it’s just what we wanted to hear from the Colorado-base live electronic trio. They’ve tip-toed the line between electronic music and jam bands for years and seem to have fully evolved to form on Instinct.
The trio comprised of Kevin Donohue, Josh Fairman and Chris Anderson have truly found their chemistry and put it on full display. This new album encapsulates the improvisational elements of their live performances and morphs these moments into fully refined songs in the studio.
Sunsquabi never fail to bring the funk. Throughout the project they showcase their instrumentation highlighting shredding guitar riffs, funky basslines and crisp percussion with just the right touch of electronic production elements.
