Sydney, Australia is home to some of the most talented electronic producers of today, including Flume, Alison Wonderland, What So Not and many more. Well, we're going to add another artist to the list. Meet Timothy Lockwood (Lokwood), an up-and-coming producer who first immersed himself in music at the young age of four. Over the past two decades, he's picked up the guitar and violin, performed at the prestigious Sydney Opera House and has soundtracked a handful of TV shows.
However, it wasn't until recently that he dove into electronic music where he received guidance by Golden Features in the studio. "Coming from playing in bands, being a producer gave me the freedom and control to do what I wanted to do," Lokwood says. TSIS has the pleasure of premiering "Horizon", the leading track off his debut self-titled EP. Stream it below:

The mature composition pulls in an array of global influences, capturing African drum samples and live recordings from Asia, and even features his own vocals. "The EP is a snapshot of my life and all the music I’ve lived," he says. "Horizon" is one of four dreamy tracks off the introductory project and showcases a super-chilled blend of hip-hop and electronic music.
