Lorde, Skrillex, Flume, Diplo, Disclosure and more join Triple J for Hottest Track

What happens when you gather 40 of the best producers, DJs, musicians, and vocalists downunder to try and create one sensational new track? Triple J radio personalities Matt and Alex made a valiant effort to construct a “Hottest 100” record with some of the biggest names in music and documented the experience for all to see.

Sadly, Lorde wanted no part in the endeavor and opted out at the first opportunity. Next, warious artists start chiming in with opinions on what it takes to build a great song, with Flume making sure everyone knew that laptops are essential in the process before Reggie Watt’s cuts out a distorted vocal sample. The mention of synths and bass, albeit the guitar, are shoved at Diplo who declines the notion while triggering Skrillex to eventually “drop the bass” accidently.

Bickering ensues amongst the group, but have no fear, because Flume was again on hand and reminded everyone that "(he) could remix the track!"

The creative process eventually leads to everyone storming out due to Rick Astley, Mr. Rick Roll himself, being kicked off the team and we are left without a true track that combines everyones talents. But hey, at least the attempt made for an entertaining 5 minute video. Laugh and enjoy!
