LOUDPVCK Release First Solo Single “JUMANJI” Featuring Atlanta Rapper Reese LaFlare

It’s been only two weeks since longtime trap duo LOUDPVCK decided to part ways, leaving Kenny Beats in full control of their direction, but he’s already got new music for us. The brand new track, “JUMANJI,” has much stronger hip-hop elements than their previous music, featuring Atlanta rapper and Two-9 co-founder Reese LaFlare. This direction doesn’t come as much of a surprise, considering Kenny Beats has been producing beats for rappers like Hoodrich Juan Pablo and Schoolboy Q for years.

What’s unique about “JUMANJI” is the way it blends the new school hip-hop sound with classic LOUDPVCK trap. The track starts out with heavily distorted bass with Reese LaFlare quickly hopping on the beat. At this point it sounds like it could be a straight hip-hop banger, but before we know it, we’re sent into a high-energy build up that drops hard into diced-up vocals that is very reminiscent of early years of electronic trap. “JUMANJI” switches back and forth between these two styles before concluding with a screeching final drop that will undoubtedly start mosh pits wherever it’s played out.

Although we’re sad to see any musical group split (e.g. Flosstradamus), it’s exciting to see LOUDPVCK on a path to what could be their new sound. Enjoy!
