Listen to Louis The Child’s New Collaboration With Icona Pop, “Weekend”

||

Louis The Child and Icona Pop's highly-anticipated single, "Weekend," is finally here. The collaboration pulls from two corners of the dance music spectrum and finds itself in an envious middle ground that radiates with crossover potential into the mainstream pop market.

Both duos have previously experienced success on a global level — Icona Pop with their feature on Charli XCX's "I Love It" and Louis The Child's with "It's Strange" which was later co-signed by pop superstar Taylor Swift.

"The idea for this song was started on a cruise ship, developed in an airport, and finished with a bunch of friends in the studio," says Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett (Louis The Child). "Music is a non-stop lifestyle.” SNBRN teased fans with his club-driven remix of the single, premiered on TSIS, and successfully built even greater hype for the original song. Stream the collaboration below:

"This song is about our beautiful chaos that we think a lot of people can relate to," says Icona Pop. "We work hard and play hard, we are constantly jet lagged and we do things at weird times." The dark pop ballad is topped with anthemic vocals and a too-good-not-to-dance-to drop that caters to Louis The Child's signature future bass style. "Weekend" is out now on Big Beat Records and will most likely be the soundtrack to your summer. Enjoy!
