We are so very close to the release of the next Mac Miller album. Mac already has released two killer singles, “What’s The Use” and “Self Care” from the forthcoming album Swimming which is set to be released this Friday, August 3rd. Today he set free yet another single from the album in the form of a YouTube video of him rapping it in a studio. The track is called “Inertia,” and it’s just as dope as the last two.
The video shows Mac messing around in what seems to be his own personal studio, playing some chords on a keyboard, feeling out a vibe. We don’t know it until the beat drops, but these little improvisations act as a sort of an interlude into “Inertia,” which plays around with the same chords. Mac then goes into what seems to be a straight freestyle and completely murders it.
“Inertia,” along with “What’s The Use” and “Self Care”, take us back to Mac’s earlier work like Watching Movies With The Sound Off, and we couldn’t be more stoked to hear the rest of what will be his fifth studio album, Swimming.
