Diplo Reveals That The Next Major Lazer Album Will Be Their Last

||

With 2018 marking 10 years of Major Lazer, it goes without saying that the group has had an overwhelming influence on electronic music. With billions of streams, countless awards and a continuous stream of incredible releases from the trio, it seems the era of Major Lazer may be coming to an end.

This news comes to us from a very recent Complex interview with Diplo where the ML boss let it be known that in addition to their recently released singles “All My Life”, “Orkant/Balance Pon It” and “Tied Up”, there will be a lot of new content coming from the trio over the next year – including their apparent final project.

Set to drop sometime in 2019, Diplo said the upcoming Major Lazer album will feature "a bunch of stuff you haven't heard like that we made the last ten years. Next year marks our last album, so we got a lot of stuff in between now and then." With the reasoning that Diplo has “other side projects, like LSD with Sia and Silk City,” already in full swing, it makes since why the superstar producer has released little of his own original music over the past year, but even considering Diplo will have a lot to focus on with much of the music he’s been working on in silence reportedly be dropping soon, the end of Major Lazer will be hard to come to terms yet.
