Although anonymity seems to be a rising trend in the electronic world, arguably no one does it more authentically than Malaa. With his simple black ski mask and overall subdued look, this powerhouse producer’s appearance truly lets his house/techno signature sound steal the show. Between his 12-track Illegal Mixtape, extensive ‘Who Is Malaa’ mixes, various singles such as “Belleville” and “Paris 96” and much more, Malaa has also been on a tear throughout 2017.
Today the mysterious artist is back once again, this time dropping a collaboration called “Hostyl” with fellow Confession artist Dombresky. This track is definitely one to listen to on a good pair of headphones, as there are numerous intricacies within the production that demand to be heard. The overall mood of the song is sinister, brooding and, consequently, captivating. Between the spaced out synths, rumbling basslines and a drop that only gets better and more complex with each passing second, we can’t get enough of “Hostyl.” Check it out below and enjoy!
