Melanaster Records label boss and dynamic producer, Marley Carroll, recently graced us with a new track just in time for summer, entitled “Heartbeats.” With a touch of electronica and a dash of underground inspiration, Carroll strikes the perfect balance on his newest single.
“Heartbeats” is a track fit for fans of all different styles of electronic music. It contains an accessible hook worthy of a wide audience, while simultaneously fostering a feeling of underground discovery. The syncopation of drums and bass drives the track, locking in a distinctive groove that pervades and persists throughout. Meanwhile, emotive synth pads and delicate vocals glide above, contributing the silky midrange to the producer’s diverse spectrum of sounds.
When asked about his inspiration for “Heartbeats,” Carroll commented:
During lockdown, I discovered that the thing I missed the most, even more than performing, was the feeling of being out at a show, dancing with my friends and being immersed in sound. This track was born from the heartache of missing the rave.
