Medasin has emerged from his “3-year-long cocoon” to bring us the first piece of his upcoming album. This new piece of music is titled “Star Song.”
“Star Song” features more instrumentation than we’re used to hearing on a Medasin track. We’re hearing saxophone, piano, and what appears to be a live drumkit. Its simplicity is its strong point, but it’s also enormously dynamic. In just three minutes, we’re taken through three separate acts: an ambient intro, a jazzy hook, and an emotional outro.
We’ve yet to obtain any further details about the upcoming Medasin album, but according to one of his social media posts, the project and its singles all have release dates.
