NYC-based duo, MEMBA, are on a music path like no other with their unique PHASES project. PHASES is a series of four different EPs that will release every full moon from April to July. We had the pleasure of featuring the dark and heavy PHASE I a few weeks ago and now they’re ready to share PHASE II.
Each EP explores a distinct style, genre and aesthetic from the duo and while PHASE I explored their darker side, PHASE II delves into a lush, warm and more melodic palette. “Alberta” features the angelic vocals of Tzar and is built on a South African inspired polyrhythm. Ricky James lends his talents on the warm, danceable “Opposites Attract” while Mark Johns is tapped on the Flume-inspired “It Always Ends Where It Begins.”
