Metronomy Links Up with Porij on Bubbly Dance Tune “Petit Boy”

||, |,

Hot on the heels of his collaboration-filled Posse EP Volume 2, Metronomy unties with the Manchester-formed-London-based quartet Porij, for yet another new collaboration. Their new track, “Petit Boy,” is out now, via Ninja Tune.

“Petit Boy” is a playful, bubbly dance track, fusing pop vocals with eclectic synths and tasteful chord progressions. Poised for endless replay-ability, Porij’s vocalist provides a ridiculously addictive hook, complimented by a simplistic structure and easy-to-listen-to production from Metronomy. We are a big fan of the fusion of styles on “Petit Boy,” and hope to see more collaborations from the quintet in the future.

Porij commented on the collaboration process, sharing:

It was a joyous experience getting to collaborate with Metronomy on this track. It’s a silly tongue in cheek song about dealing with insecurities within ourself and others. We started it many moons ago and came back to it recently with fresh ears and thought it was decent haha. Very much looking forward to finally getting it out in the world.

You can stream “Petit Boy” at the link below, out everywhere via Ninja Tune. Enjoy!
