Rising Artist Mindchatter Impresses On Unique New Genre Blender “Scared To Go Home”

LA-based label Mind of a Genius always kills it when it comes to genre-blending talent, unearthing artists like the ever mystifying ZHU, the golden child of R&B, Gallant, and the grungey R&B duo, THEY. Today, one of the newest additions on the already stacked roster, an indie/electronic/R&B up-and-comer named Mindchatter, drops his newest track, “Scared To Go Home.”

The NYC-based artist has made a name for himself for his hypnotic vocals and diverse range of production. This latest offering is a downtempo anthem with some thicc bass. As a gently rebounding chime dances over the bass, Mindchatter sings about the anxious, hollow feelings that can accompany a night out. Commenting on the release, the young talent says:

“I wrote Scared To Go Home after a night out in NYC. There are times when nightlife feels incredibly depressing and lonely – everyone desperately reaching out for one another, getting way too drunk, trying to make a connection. I wanted to capture that feeling in a song that’s just as much a party song as a moment of self-reflection.

I felt this was the perfect introduction to my full-length project releasing on Mind of a Genius later this year. The project will explore these inner dialogues of searching for connection and meaning.”

A new full-length project you say? Sign me up for two please! We’re all about this slow-burning track, and we can’t wait to hear more from this new-comer. While keep our eyes and ears open for any new releases or info on his full-length project, stream Mindchatter’s new hit, “Scared To Go Home,” below.
