Modern Machines Shares Disco-Infused Track “BROOKLYN”

||, |

Following his recent debut on IN / ROTATIONModern Machines now returns to the imprint with a hot new double-single. Part one of the double-single arrived in June, on the label’s ROTATE VOL. 11 compilation album, quickly earning radio support from Sam Feldt, Don Diablo, and more. Today, the track receives its perfectly matched companion, “BROOKLYN.”

“BROOKLYN” immediately pulls the listener onto the dance-floor with its electrifying, feel-good arrangements. Modern Machines utilizes an addictive vocal sample as the main hook, contrasting the vocal melody with an equally addictive synth/string lead. Anchoring the whole track is a consistent four-on-the-floor beat and funky bass line.

Modern Machines commented on the inspiration for “BROOKLYN,” sharing:

‘BROOKLYN’ is a tribute to my home borough of BROOKLYN. It’s where I grew up and where most of my musical inspiration comes from. Disco being a heavy heavy part of Brooklyn and NYC’s culture ( the John Travolta Classic “Saturday Night Fever,” Studio 54, the Birthplace of Disco godfather Nile Rodgers). I figured naming my Disco inspired track “BROOKLYN” was a fitting tribute.

You can stream “BROOKLYN” at the link below, out everywhere via IN / ROTATION. Enjoy!
