NGHTMRE Links Up With Carmada For Heavy New Collaboration “Embrace”

||, |,

Between explosive remix work with tracks by Travis Scott, DJ Snake, Terror Squad and Galantis; a downright deadly collaboration with Ghastly; electrifying mixes and more, California-based producer NGHTMRE has undoubtedly been on fire throughout 2017. Today the artist is back with yet another impressive track: a collaboration with Carmada titled “Embrace” via Mad Decent.

Carmada, a duo composed of Australian producers LDRU and Yahtzel, first debuted their partnership in 2014 with “Maybe.” The two have been combining traditional bass music with a more eclectic Aussie style of production ever since. Despite not being the most obvious collaboration, these three come together seamlessly on “Embrace” with both NGHTMRE and Carmada’s notable signatures taking a front seat throughout.

Listeners are greeted with an experimental opening composed of unorthodox synths and tribal percussion that quickly leads into vocals. Although the lyrics themselves are emotional, the vocal style is undeniably haunting as it floats over the moody production, adding an ominous touch to the track that works well. When it comes to the drop, NGHTMRE’s trap touch undeniably shines through, with the more downtempo pieces of the song delving into Carmada’s style. Altogether, “Embrace” presents a compelling fusion of styles that takes things to the next level. Check it out below and enjoy!
