With the 20th anniversary of Notorious B.I.G.’s untimely death, many celebrated Biggie’s legacy. Legendary UK radio DJ Tim Westwood has hosted rapper’s freestyles for years and has now shared rare Biggie freestyles from 1995.
We just shared a 45-minute tribute mix that combined some of his most memorable tracks as well as some lesser-known gems and now Tim Westwood has unleashed these old freestyles from his vault. The first freestyle has Biggie going off the top alongside his Bad Boy labelmate Craig Mack back in March 1995 and the second is from a London trip Biggie took to promote his Life Before Death album.
The freestyles are a refreshing reminder of his smooth wordplay as he effortlessly raps atop the beats. Tim Westwood has been at it for years and likely has more hidden gems in his vault as he recently shared a previously unheard Jay-Z freestyle from 2000. Enjoy!
