Rising artist, obli, just had one of the most monumental weeks of his career, playing his first ever festival, releasing a new single, and announcing an EP all in the span of seven days. His enthusiasm for music and diverse discography has continued to further our love for the LA producer. obli’s newest offering, “Another Man,” is out now.
obli stylishly begins the track with an R&B sample chopped up to the rhythm of bright piano chords, together establishing the main progression of the track. He ventures forward into a series of dance-forward drops, guided by tropical percussion and an immaculately tight house groove. The main vocal chop, vaguely singing “Another man… couldn’t touch me” continues to make appearances throughout to bring even more melodic variety to obli’s arrangement.
obli shared a very special announcement following the track’s release, saying:
Also stoked to announce that my EP titled ‘it’ll all be oki’ is coming out April 14th, been in the works for a minute, can’t wait for it to be out. Appreciate all who’s been listening, means the world.
