Multi-instrumentalist and producer, obli, has been a name to watch as he navigates his way through the early portions of his career. The LA-based producer once toured with the likes of Skrillex and has since been carving out his own path in contemporary electronic music. He’s just teamed up with ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective imprint for the release of his newest EP, it’ll all be oki.
obli’s musical origins stem from a combination of alternative, indie, electronic, rock, and pop. All of those influences can be heard throughout the EP as obli is able to navigate unique soundscapes over the course of 6 tracks. There’s a strong sense of emotion and connection to the love for creating music that obli captures so well. Each track on it’ll all be oki tells a beautiful story with the use of both minimalism and expressive instrumentation.
Here’s what obli had to say about the project:
“it’ll all be oki felt like a bit of a personal mantra to just keep going through the ups and downs of music and life… to keep making / creating music for the love of it and that the best solution when feeling stuck is to work on it, not overthink what brought me to that song or idea in the first place and to make sure that it gets out for others to listen to.”
