Esteemed label bitbird continues to pour out fantastic projects, and their latest is no exception. Los Angeles’s OddKidOut came to play with his 4-track EP Weightless, and in doing so brought together some heavy hitters to feature on some of the tracks.
The lead song “THIEF” is a brooding electro-pop leadoff with amazing vocals from singer/songwriter Young Virdii. The final song “CLOUDY STORIES” brings out the bitbird general himself San Holo along with the uberly talented artemis orion for a euphoric tune that perfectly mixes the sounds of both producers. “WISH YOU WELL” and “APOLOGIZE” come between these bookends with equally ethereal sounds in their own right.
