ODESZA, Mura Masa, Bonobo & More Nominated For Electronic Album Of The Year At 2018 Grammys

With the announcement of the 2018 Grammy Nominations comes particular anticipation within the TSIS community as to who will win the coveted award for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Last year, Flume took home this Grammy for his ever impressive Skin album. This year, more TSIS favorites are in the running including ODESZA, Bonobo and Mura Masa. Bonobo – Migration

The ever-evolving producer impressed per usual with his sixth studio album Migration, which featured collaborators such as Rhye and Nick Murphy. Bonobo drew influence from a broad musical spectrum spanning across the world and compiled them all into a single impressive packaged offering.

Kraftwerk – 3-D the Catalogue

Kraftwerk is a legendary German electronic group who are considered true pioneers of electronic music. 3-D the Catalogue is a crazy 8-disk package comprised of the group’s iconic work, which has won them Grammys in both 2014 and 2015.

Mura Masa – Mura Masa

Mura Masa’s debut self-titled album was one that came with high expectations; Expectations that the rising producer certainly meeted. With numerous impressive features including Desiigner, Charli XCX, Damon Albarn and many more, Mura Masa proved his talents in this tight niche.

Odesza – A Moment Apart

ODESZA’s A Moment Apart was nothing short of incredible. Flawlessly building on their progressive electronic sound with features from artists like Leon Bridges and Regina Spektor, the Seattle duo outdid themselves.

Sylvan Esso – What Now

The North Carolina duo Sylvan Esso have built a reputation for their indie take on songwriting, combining elements from pop music and electronic productions. What Now is the groups sophomore album that builds upon their impressive cutting edge repertoire.
