When it comes to self-releasing tracks, Oshi has to be one of the most active producers in the game. Having released four tracks in just as many months, plus dropping his long-awaited collab with Baauer, the 19-year-old producer seems to always have something in the works. Today, only a few days after he announced he would begin teaching one-on-one music production classes, Oshi has shared two brand new singles – “bitch i’m cute” and “oh fuck”.
Although both of these new offerings perfectly embody Oshi’s unique instrumental/trap sound, each bring with it a different vibe. Characterized by distant, pitched vocal chops, shrill, eerie synths and a wonky, skittering percussion, “oh fuck” seems like a perfectly fitting title for this hard-hitting new track. On the other hand – starting off slow with a playful xylophone melody and some pitched vocals from Oshi himself, “bitch i’m cute” offers a more upbeat feeling as it slowly blends minimalistic, bass heavy drops into lighthearted, synth filled breaks.
