Overmono Serves Up Lush New Single “Walk Thru Water” With St. Panther

UK-based brother duo, Overmono, is a name that has been popping up more and more in the electronic scene as of late. Making a name for themselves through their standout live performances and binge-able discography, the brothers’ last solo offering, Cash Romanticwas an EP that truly caught our attention. Their newest single, “Walk Thru Water” is a beautiful follow-up, featuring vocals from the talented St. Panther.

Playing off a trap-inspired beat, “Walk Thru Water” wades through lavish synth pads, setting the scene for this organically resonating track. Distorted vocals from St. Panther complement the warmth of the production and add a pensive tone to the vibe Overmono creates. Saturated synths shine as the duo plays with growling cutoff knobs and tasteful melodies. They uniquely utilize arpeggios as a percussive tool, creating a rhythm as meaningful as the drums themselves.

Here’s what Overmono had to say about the release:

Vocal is sampled from St. Panther who has this unbelievable way of making their voice sound so different on every record. Remember it coming together late one night when we got back to the hotel after a show… we wrote these chords as soon as we got in and spent the next few nights after each show chopping and pitching the vocal, blasting it out of a little Bluetooth speaker. As soon as it was ready we started to play it live and it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the set, so it felt right to get this one out before the end of the year.
