Seattle R&B phenom, Parisalexa, first caught our attention with her passionate debut album last year. Her blend of R&B, hip-hop, and indie electronic has made her one of the hottest rising female artists and it still feels like we’re just scratching the surface of her talent. Today, she’s making her triumphant return to the site with her Finishline EP, out now via Payday Records.
The EP is an alt-R&B-leaning project that lives in the same sonic world as artists like Kehlani and Willow Smith, with influences from artists like Erykah Badu and James Fauntleroy. Parisalexa draws on multiple influences including jazz, funk, electronic, R&B, indie, and hip-hop for an incredibly well-wounded project. The heart of Finishline is about that concept of reaching a destination, and for Parisalexa, that destination is going everywhere she can.
She also released an official music video for “Lucky” which you can check out below the stream. Enjoy!
