Phantoms Present Refreshing & Vibrant Sophomore Album ‘This Can’t Be Everything’

Earlier this year, LA-based producers, Phantoms, announced that they would be joining Foreign Family Collective. The duo have built a reputation for a constantly evolving sound that blurs the lines of house, indie dance, and alt-pop music. We’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of their sophomore album, This Can’t Be Everything, and are happy to say that today is finally that day.

As is true with virtually every human being during the pandemic, Phantoms struggled with hope for the future and what was to become of life after lockdown. Their combined vulnerability allowed for a new approach to music production which can be deeply felt throughout their sophomore album. The resulting effort is an incredibly fresh and heartening body of work that serves as a refreshing addition to the world of modern-day dance music.

Of course, they had to recruit some help along the way including UK singer/songwriter, Jem Cooke, Big Wild and Lizzy Land. Whether you opt for the gleaming indie-dance track, “Firepit,” or the unexpected drum n bass nod in “Echoes,” This Can’t Be Everything has something for just about everyone and serves as a beautiful compliment to Foreign Family Collective’s already stellar record of releases.
