I don’t know what you have planned for this weekend, but cancel it. Virtual music festivals have been the saving grace of this crazy time, and one of the dopest events to date just entered the building. PlayOn Fest, hosted by the Warner Music Group, is breaking the livestream mold by strictly streaming iconic archived live performances by 65 of the world’s biggest music acts, all in support of the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
TSIS favs like Anderson .Paak, Rufus Du Sol, and Oliver Tree are present on the bill, but the rest of the line up is just as impressive, boasting a little something for everyone. Rock out with Green Day, Slipknot, Paramore and Weezer. Belt along to feel good pop hits with Bruno Mars, Fitz and the Tantrums, Ed Sheeran and Panic! At The Disco. I could go on and on about this line up but you’ll just have to look for yourself. Its frickin’ LOADED.
PlayOn takes place this weekend starting April 24 at noon EST and going through April 26, but set times have yet to be released. The event will be streamed on Songkick’s YouTube channel. Check out the line up video below, and we’ll see ya there. Enjoy!
