Eight years after the release of their debut album and four years after the release of their sophomore album, French duo Polo & Pan is at it again with their new 12-track album 22:22.
22:22 is pure house bliss. “Disco Nap” indeed gets you lost in a disco dreamstate with the help of musing vocals from Metronomy. “Petite Etoile” is a definite standout of the project, thumping laid-back groove under the sensational singing of Beth Ditto. On opposite ends of the spectrum “The Mirror” is an uptempo thrill ride, while “La Nuit” sweeps you up in its psychedelic hypnosis.
Polo & Pan are currently in the midst of a massive European tour, but will be making pit stops in North America at Coachella, Red Rocks, and in Mexico. 22:22 marks another milestone in the successful careers of the duo and a third consecutive heralded album.
