PREMIERE | Pretty Lights Live Band Turntablist Chris Karns Links With Dom Lalli On “Visible Sound”

||, , |,

Today we’re stoked to be bringing you two staple band members of two different iconic Colorado acts teaming up on one track. Chris Karns, the turntablist for Pretty Lights Live Band, and Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic, have delivered a brand new, vibey tune titled “Visible Sound.” This is the first single off of Chris Karns’ forthcoming album, and you can get the first listen right here.

“Visible Sound” is a groovy jam that brilliantly utilizes samples over a nice, downtempo beat. It’s a versatile track that’d be appropriate for almost any chill setting. Towards the end you can hear Dom’s buttery smooth sax come in to wrap things up.

Here’s what Chris Karns had to say about this brand new jam:

I became fascinated with the idea being able to visualize audio and thought I should try to create a song that would capture the essence of that concept. Dom added the most beautiful finishing touch with his sax solo on top! I asked Sara Bott to create the artwork for it, and didn’t give her any direction other than saying “draw what visible sound looks like”! She nailed it. Very excited about releasing this tune. Hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.
