[PREMIERE] Felix Cartal Shares Melodic House Single “Drifting Away” Feat. Ofelia K

||
This past summer, Felix Cartal and Kaskade shared their smooth house collaboration, "Fakin It" featuring Ofelia K. To continue the story that "Fakin It" told, Cartal has followed up the release with "Drifting Away" featuring the whispery vocals Ofelia K once again.

The single kicks off with acoustic guitar strumming that gradually becomes intertwined with distorted vocal chops, shakers and a chilled-out melody. Cartal dives deep into the meaning behind "Drifting Away" below.
"I think a big part of music for me, is referencing youth and nostalgia, and Drifting Away sort of plays on that idea of getting lost in your own world and doing your own thing…Embrace what makes you original and challenge yourself, it’s the only way to get better. Drift into your own world and own it.

For the production, I really wanted to try a chord progression that was untraditional in dance music. I think that’s what’s interesting to me right now, putting forward these ideas of different contexts and feelings that maybe aren’t common in the dance world…All I want is for my music to help people get through difficult things they may be feeling."
