PREMIERE | FunkStatik Flexes His Low End Prowess With Funky New Groove “Fire Fly”

||, |, ,

Hot off the heels of his album that dropped this summer, FunkStatik is gracing us with more music. The Denver DJ, who is signed with local collective Mile High Sound Movement, brings some serious vibes with his new single “Fire Fly” featuring Lana Eucalyptus. It’s part of his upcoming Depths of Space EP, which is out every where tomorrow, but we’re able to give you an exclusive listen today.

You can tell right off the bat that this one is going to be a heavy hitter. There’s a smooth intro that winds up to the introduction of a sharp kicking drum and the lovely touch of Lana Eucalyptus’s vocals. She sings about feeling the bass line; and boy, do we ever. It’s an energized, low-end bop that you can’t help but groove to.

Here is what FunkStatik had to tell us about what creating this new EP meant to him:

Realizing you are on a new path discovering vast new uncharted galaxies. A metaphor for understanding how deep we really are if we take the dive. Finding ourselves through music and art.

Get an early listen to “Fire Fly” below while we eagerly await the release of the other three songs on December 18. Enjoy!
