Brothers Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy aka Rae Sremmurd burst into the hip hop scene this year with their debut album Sremmlife unleashing hits like “No Flex Zone” and “No Type.” This young duo took the hip hop world by storm and are prepping for the release of their much anticipated follow up Sremmlife 2. Now we have a unique Rae Sremmurd cover from GodWolf, who is a Melbourne based due comprising of Joe Kosky & Tom Armstrong, and have been blending their vocals with different electronic genres.
The duo have taken on Rae Sremmurd’s hit “This Could Be Us” from their Sremmlife album stripping down the energy from the original recreating the tune with their own ambient energy. GodWolf puts their spin on the instrumental restructuring the piano melody with uplifting chimes alongside rolling dreamy synths that give this version a chill indie pop vibe. "We've always loved grabbing opposing musical elements and playing them off of one another,” says GodWolf, as they go on to explain this track "is written in a style that we could never try to replicate, so it's been a lot of fun putting our spin on the Sremmurd boys' masterpiece.” Stream below and grab a free download.
