Foreign Family Collective consistently gives us fresh, new, boundary pushing music. Today, we have the pleasure of working with the label to premiere beautifully dark new track from New York City based duo, MEMBA. The tune is called “Strider,” and it’s easily one of our favorites from the two.
As a candid acoustic guitar ferries us into the track, a sensual vocal weaves a brief but sublime verse. A suspenseful rise then creates a carnal tension, but it is soon released by a walking drum kit, powerful horns, and a haunting trade of of synths and distorted vocals. Be prepared to become fully immersed in this one, as the low-end will envelope you as soon as it kicks in.
