Today we have a fire new premiere for you! Today Dustycloud shares his Tony Romera collaboration “Fantasy” off his two-track Mad World EP due tomorrow on Deadbeats. The Parisian producer expertly showcases his rumbling bass house sound on this new collab and we’re eagerly awaiting the full EP.
“In France, the music scene is very close. I think it doesn’t matter where in France you are from, most of the house producers will support each other at shows and play each other’s songs during sets. We all come from French influence but have very different styles of music. This is what’s making French House so big because everyone is making these different translations of the genre that are all really dope in their own way. I have been a Tony Romera fan & friend for years and love the stuff he’s been doing with his Sans Merci imprint so I hit him up and we both knew it was time. I sent him this idea I had and he took off with it. He added this really funky synth that brought a lot of cool energy to my usually darker sound. I’m very happy with the way it came out and I’m excited to finally release the second song of my EP, Fantasy.” – Dustycloud
“I think I was in Germany when Dustycloud asked me if I was down to collab on a project. I was heading back to France after a crazy night at Bootshaus. He sent me a couple ideas but I knew this was the one when I first heard it. I love songs that are dark but also high-energy, and Dustycloud’s style is just that. I took his idea and changed around the drops first, after we sent a couple versions back and forth we had a good idea of where the track was going & finished with this track, Fantasy. The French are a small community of producers and it’s very important to us to support our friends. Everyone has such sick music, the world will know!” – Tony Romera
“Fantasy” brings crunchy bass tones paired with grooving vocal samples and crisp percussion as the two artists prove to be a perfect fit alongside each other. Keep an eye out for Dustycloud’s EP via Deadbeats tomorrow and enjoy!
